Overview
The building has a footprint of 1,570m² with a large grocery shopping area, five internal sub-tenancy units, and a warehouse area. Our design aimed to provide a simple architectural form with modern, elegant aesthetics for a high-level shopping environment.
Solution
For this exciting project, THE DESIGNFIRE provided full fire engineering design services. This included preparation of the fire engineering report for the building, reviewing and detailing the passive fire design elements and completing emergency lighting design.
In Detail
THE DESIGNFIRE worked alongside with various project stakeholders – the client, project manager, other consultants and Council. THE DESIGNFIRE leads the fire engineering design part of the project and provided early advice on potential issues, risk and solutions throughout the project. During the construction stage, we reviewed the construction process and provided timely and accurate details relating to fire engineering in order to move forward smoothly. There were no critical issues raised by Council and construction was carried out to a successful conclusion.
The client was extremely satisfied with the design and the new supermarket has brought new life into the original business district.
