Overview

We were commissioned by our client to develop a multi unit housing development across 3 existing sites on the highly desirable Sunnynook Road. We came up with a design of 3 separate blocks of multi-unit houses of varying densities from stand-alone houses to multi unit terraced houses. Considerate architectural planning and thought were given to achieve a high-quality outcome.

Solution

THE DESIGNFIRE is currently processing to complete fire engineering design and passive fire design documentation based on the concept design.

In Detail

Passive Fire Design becomes an increasingly important part of the building compliance process as demand for higher density residential buildings increases. Intensive residential housing requires special attention due to its dense development typology, sleeping occupants, and its light frame structure which all equate to a higher fire risk. Considering Passive Fire Design and Fire Engineering early on in your design process in an important to minimize changes to your design later on due to fire requirements and to achieve a more cohesive and complete design.
